A little something different. People always ask me what my fave character to draw is and truth is, there are too many to name. Definitely not a clear cut favorite. But as far as one of the least favorite characters to draw...well that would have to be the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Now I love the character and love how John Romita and JRJR and Michael Golden and Todd McFarlane interpreted him and the 2 movies are simply brilliant...it's just as a character to draw...well, I just can't get past the webbing. Can't figure it out and to me, it always feels like I'm drawing treads on a tire or windows on a 100 story skyscraper. To do that every panel, 22 pages an issue. Yowsa! This one was for Ale's son who just had a birthday and the Webcrawler is one of his favorite characters. So exceptions were made...damn webbing!

Great pic Jim. Even your least favorite to draw characters come out looking top notch. I think it's interesting to see you draw someone with SM's physique since we don't get to see that very often anymore with the DC characters you're drawing being mainly big and wide body types. I would love to see more slender heroes from you, like Daredevil or some full body Gambit pics, hehe.

I knew you don't like to draw him, because I have always wondered why haven't you done any spidey book yet. but you made Spidey look so great!
