Emerald City Comicon 2010!

[Oliver]

Had a blast at my first ever Emerald City Comicon and first trip to Seattle! Thanks to all who stopped by and got their "Monsters & Dames" book signed and to those who got commissions, sketchbooks, prints, etc.

This Zatanna is a commission I did at the show, had it layed out beforehand though, and spent most of Sat. finishing it.

I'll definitely be going back next year!

Hey all, just wanted to post a commission I recently wrapped up of Zatanna... I plan to make a print of this piece for San Diego Comic-Con, but I need to add an overlay for magic and effects in coloring...will post the completed image when ready.

Recent Ramondelli

[Livio]

Starscream - This began as a pencil art commission at Wondercon in San Francisco, but I wanted to do a digitally colored version as well. This is probably one of the faster paintings I've done, maybe 4 hours from start to finish. I wanted to achieve a bit of a blurry/speed effect here.

Green Lantern - This was a commission, acrylic on illustration board. Later on I scanned it in and added a little digital glow to Hal Jordan's ring.

Zatanna - Another recent commission, and definitely a little different than what I'm normally asked to draw. But I had a lot of fun with this one. And thanks to artist extraordinare Mike Lopez, who always provides great tips on drawing the ladies.

[Livio]

Rorschach - I did this pencil drawing for fun in anticipation of the movie finally coming out. I still can't believe we are living in a movie era where Rorschach is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

Until next time!

Annataz

[Joel]

Hey all, just wanted to post my latest piece, which I plan to have available at the New York Comic Con. I had a lot of fun with this one, using an old art school technique of wet on wet watercolor wash adding salt to absorb up the the value, I wanted to create a weird etheral texture for the background.

I decided to have a few really nice pre-done pieces to take with me for the show and plan to post most of them before I leave, next up....Supergirl!

A ELTTIL TIB FO CIGAM...

[Oliver]

Hey ya'lls, how's it goin? Haven't posted in awhile, been busy, busy after Comic-Con and getting back into the groove of things. I'm sure everyone who attends, whether exhibiting or just going for fun knows what I mean, it's exhausting! (in a good way though)

Here is a Zatanna that I did for fun right before the show. I've always been partial to her look and had so much fun doing this piece, especially tweeking her outfit a little. I can't wait to get started on another piece with her!

Hope u likey.

Zepol!

[Michael]

Hello everyone, I thought i'd give the gray markers a whirl this time, instead of the brown toned paper I do on a lot of my commissions, for Zatanna here. It's fun going in there with makers and makes for a quicker piece.

At first, I had her pulling the Atom out of her hat, but eventually I went with something a little more playful. It's also my first time drawing her so I hope it looks okay, hope you dig it!

See ya next time, Mike.
