Midtown Madness!

Midtown Madness!

Here I am at 40th and 7th at Midtown comics and it's pouring. But still the first fans were here 6 hours ago and the line extends down to 8th Ave. I really expected a muted turnout cause of the inclement weather but I guess nothing stops the incredible fans our small business is blessed with. Great store...even greater people and fans. More later after...

Maybe it’s just me, but the guy in the middle looks REALLY angry… I give ‘im props for standing there for 6 hours, though.

SUHWEEEEET. Thanks for sticking around for an extra hour Jim, especially since you were feeling miserable. Get well soon and enjoy the rest of your time in our rain drenched city. Going to post the photo we just took and the one taken over a decade ago on my blog later...

Have a safe flight home.

So, I get to Midtown at 3:30 thinking, ah it's crappy out, the line shouldn't be that long. LOL It went around the block. For someone who felt miserable, you looked great to me Jim :) Standing in the rain to get a glimpse of the man was well worth it. Feel better. Thanks for being there for the fans. <3

being as though I don't get much time to attend conventions and all.. this was great! Thanks for the signing, Jim.. and thanks for the rapid coversation about medschool and your premed roots.

....I'll definitely think to bring a raincoat or umbrella next time..

Thanks, DC, KAGERO, SAGAR, and everyone else who braved the elements--yep, I was recovering from a nasty cold. I hope I didn't pass on the worst of it (really sore, scratchy throat). I took some antihistamines during the signing and towards the end, waves of fatigue were blindsiding me to the point where my eyes were rolling in my skull ^_^. And I still felt better than the day before when I just stayed in bed all day. Today, I feel 1000% better. Anyway, thanks again for all who came out; some people who didn't have umbrellas were literally soaked. One guy's hat was so wet that it was dripping big drops on the comics he just got signed. So many comics and posters were wet by the time they got to my table. I will have to do a makeup someday down the line for those folk.

PSYCH BOY and FOTIBOSS...no plans to hit the Philippines in the near future. Per quanto riguarda le fumetterie di Roma...mi dispiace ma io non penso. Si può dire "la vedo scura" in questo caso?

Jim lee hey man i was the kid who said i had random comics out of default cuz the others got wet ,which is cool, but wut pisses me off is the missed oppurunity to get in the picture i was juss too star struck to jump in...all i wanted to say is that we(my freind was also there) are the true pros we were fourth in line and had to battle the storms with an overpriced umbrealla but yeah totally worth it man

Stupid scheduling. Oh well, next time you do a signing at Midtown request the Grand Central location and Ill be a happy man.

Thanks for coming by Jim and I met a lot of customers afterward and today who really appreciate you coming by despite your illness.

Hi, jim

love your work, but lately why do you keep drawing all-star batman's belt upside down (unless he's a leftie) and with a non-functional spoke and buckle? :)
