Whiteout Lotus Thumb!

[Nome]

Hey yall's, how's it goin? Here is an "Iron Fist" commission I did over the weekend for Kevin Stryker.

Before I started on it, I read all the issues of the new series and absolutely loved it. I am now an Iron Fist fan.

I'm happy with how this piece turned out, especially the "Whiteout Lotus Thumb" technique that I honed under the tutelage of WildStorm Grandmaster, Jim Lee.

Namastey.

Hi Mr Nome, I've been a long time fan of Iron Fist, since the Byrne era I admit, and your rendition of the Iron Fist is really amazing I like the effect you added on his fist ... and the dragon shadow on the background it's really nice.

You are just gettin' better and better before our eyes, sir. I like how you brought out the scales and details on the dragon shadow instead of just makin' it solid black. Great decision.

This is officially my favorite piece from you, thus far.

Peace...

Awesome. You are really doing well. Have to let us know when your first book comes out. Any idea what you will be working on? Or am I slow and already miss it.

Thnx for the nice comments everyone:) As for the "whiteout lotus thumb technique", it's just simply using your fingers or in this case, my thumb, dabbing it in whiteout and then tapping it onto the artwork to get the desired effect. So now that I have explained this secret ancient technique, use it with a pure heart, a clear mind and a steady hand.

Very Nice!!! I like it when you show your preliminary sketch and then the finished product. I also would like to know when your first book will be coming out.

Am I wrong, or I can see some influence of Jim's works on this pin up?
Very nice sketch, and very good finished artwork. I like to see how each penciler does his job, how each one has a different technique and way to do it.
But I still thinking about Jim Lee's Influences. This is not a complaint, coz Jim Works's also my sketch reference since I was a kid.
