Red Sonja

[Nuñez]

A piece I did of that she devil. I was looking at some Jason Pearson when I was doing this. I reeaally love the way he plays with shapes and the simplicity of it and I have to say I loved playing with her proportions.

It was fun. Hope ya enjoy. =)

El Paso Comic Con 2010

[Nuñez]

I have to admit as much as a love the old school Transformers I have never done a piece on them and it brought back a lot of nostalgic memories...sniff sniff

If you'd like to see the original, I'll be at the El Paso Comic Con this weekend, so stop by and say "Hey."

X-MEN!

[Nuñez]

Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I posted anything, but this is an X-Men piece I did recently with the X-guys going at it against the Sentinels. I played around with Cyclops' outfit a bit, but it's mostly their old-school costumes from when I used to read them.

I wanted to go for an action moment, but still show them all off, so tilting the angle really helped with that. Maybe next time I'll do a similar piece with the X-girls.

Hope ya'll digz.

Darksiders

[Nuñez]

A commission that was requested of Joe Mad's Darksiders. I didn't know how this was going to turn out at the beginning. I had an idea of what I wanted to do with it and I was pretty happy with the turnout. i hope the buyer enjoys it as much as I did doing it.

Ghost in the Shell 2

[Nuñez]

To celebrate the New Year, here's a pre-done piece I did for a con last year.

Iron Gelatomettista - Eddie Nuñez vs. Cruddie Torian!

Our much-requested Iron Gelatomettista challenge returns as two boys enter and one man walks out in a one-hour drawing battle that tests both rookies to their limits!

Eddie Nuñez has been in the studio for over a year now and should be no stranger to fans here, but has yet to find someone up to the challenge until Cruddie ("Crew-Dee") Torian stopped by for a visit. Cruddie's another rising star at WildStorm and his first regular issue of Gen 13 starts next month with issue #33. What better way to welcome him, then just jumping right in!

But first, we need someone for them to draw, so post your choice of a single character for them to choose and they'll do what they do best tomorrow!!

UPDATE: The guys chose to draw Black Adam, so check back soon for the final results!

Harley

[Nuñez]

A piece of the devious Harley Quinn. I didn't know what or how much to do with her. I wanted to keep her cutesy attitude but I added the stuffed bat toy with the nails in the cape to show a little evilness :)

Hope you likes.

"Welcome Home"

[jimlee]

Finally can be revealed. A piece the WS office did for departing DC chief Paul Levitz.

You can also see some Legionaires Paul co-created. I penciled Sensor Girl & Colossal Boy & laid out the top half.

Mach GoGoGo!

[Eddy]

Thanks again to everyone who guessed the artists in the "Go, Speed Racer, Go!" post. There were some close guesses early on, but it looks like the Mach 5 was throwing most people off.

Jim also added Chim-Chim to the final jam piece above and I left the signatures back on to complete the picture.

Oh, and Carlos not only did the Mach 5, but he also did the flag too.

"Go, Speed Racer, Go!"

[Eddy]

One of the icons of manga and anime has always been Speed Racer. I had no idea it started off as a manga until recently, but I think everyone's familiar with the opening theme song and that iconic shot of Mifune Gō aka Speed Racer jumping out of his car.

As a parting gift for one big Speed Racer fan, some of the guys here drew this piece as a "thank you" for all their friendship and help throughout the years.

I took off all the signatures in this scan, so can anyone name which artist drew which part of the illustration? I'll send a small box of WildStorm comics to the first winner who guesses right and bonus points for correctly naming who did the checkered flag!

Fairchild

[Nuñez]

Hello everyone, first of all, I want to say thanks to all the people that came to Artist's Alley to say "Hi." I admit, as much as the con can be a headache, I had a lot of fun meeting new people.

Here is a commission I did recently of Fairchild. I really haven't messed around with any of the Gen13 characters before and I have to say she was fun to do, but at the same time she was a little pain in my @$$ because of her build. I wanted to give her muscles, yet make her look sexy at the same time.

Hope ya'll digz.

Cap and Bucky

[Nuñez]

Here's another pre-done piece for the San Diego Comic-Con. I've never drawn Cap and Bucky together and I gotta say it was a lot of fun, kinda like doing Batman and Robin.

I've been trying to get better at my graytone pieces, especially when you see the madness that Carlos D'anda pulls out of his @$$. That bastard!!

Anyways, I know I haven't been posting as much as I should be and I will try and post more often, till then hope y'all digz and peace out.

Red Nuñez 2

[Nuñez]

Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I posted anything since I've been trying to get out of a funk :) Anyhoo here's a pre-done piece of Red Monika I did over the weekend. I did a piece of her at last year's Comic Con, so I thought I'd give her another shot for this year's con.

Doing grey tone pieces is still a challenge for me because I am still learning the different values to push and pull the thing you want the viewer's eye to focus on.

Hope ya'll digz.

Old School Cartoons

[Nuñez]

Hello everyone, every so often here at the studio we have conversations about all the old school cartoons we all grew up with. Cartoons from Silverhawks to Tigersharks and how bada$$ the opening credits and the first episodes were.

I have always been a turtles fan so I decided to do a piece on our green friends. I have been trying to keep my shapes and silhouettes a lot simpler so this piece was interesting and fun to do.

Peace out y'allz

Hurm

[Eddy]

In anticipation of the new Watchmen movie in theatres today, Carlos D'Anda, Eddie Nuñez, Jim Lee, Michael Lopez, Oliver Nome, JJ Kirby and Livio Ramondelli did this stellar jam piece!

Here's hoping Watchmen breaks all kinds of records this weekend!

WonderCon 2009 Pics!

[Eddy]

WonderCon was another big hit for everyone and we're already planning next year's show, so thanks to all the wonderful fans!

Personally, I'm still recovering from the show and catching catnaps, so above are some photos I found online featuring the gelatometti crew. To check out more of Jay Fayloga's pics from the show, click here and here.

Thanks Jay!
