Hey Jim, although Ive already commented on these Covers on myspace, Id like to say once again how stunning theyre! I love each of them, but the close shot of Batman is beyond anything youve done before (imho). Im just wondering if youve been working with a lightbox when you drew them, or did you immeadiatly draw them on the board? Love them!
All the best wishes, Sedat :) http://sedatoezgen.blogspot.com
The shadow playing across the guy's face who's being chopped on issue#7 was a nice touch. That epitomizes what I've always appreciated most about your work: the way you use lines, shadows, shapes to indicate both light and action at the same time. Fantastic work Jim.
The young lady in the fishnets had better lower the heels on her boots so that she will be able to walk in future issues. There's a reason real women don't wear those kind of heels in jobs that require moving on foot, just to let you know. If you can walk on heels of that nature, let us know.
yeah...wow...cool.jim's drawing are still getting better..at his age..wow. how much details can a drawing have anyway..he's making it look endless. which is very inspiring for all the young guys to see veterans style can still kick ass :)
hey man!! I just gotta tell you man those covers are awsome!! Could you post a high-res of those? i would love to try iking those (specially issue 6). BTW i'm looking forward to the TPB of ASBR. could you do a brand new cover for that? GOOD LUCK with all your projects.
i think you are improving. you should do an all pencil project, maybe with some watercolors your regular stuff is amazing of course but lacks the raw, organic aliveness of these

Damn! These are great to see! Thanks for posting such goodness!
Its great to see the art before inking and coloring. There is so much character to penciled covers that gets lost in the finishing steps. Great work.
Wow! All of these arts are great! Amazing!!
