Sequentials

[Oliver]

Hey ya'lls, since the blog posts have been nothing but pin-ups for a long time now I just wanted to post some recent sequential work. I did these five 'Red Robin' pages for fun and practice over the past week and a half at home after work.

I gave myself deadlines on the pages and only allowed a certain amount of time spent per page to keep me on my toes.

For all of you aspiring comic artists out there, please don't let the fact that you have a full-time day job discourage you from going home and drawing! Even if you only draw a few hours a night, it all adds up and next thing you know you have sequential pages to show editors and those pages can be your big break.

Make sure to check back in the next few weeks for more sequentials. ;)

Oh, yay for sequentials! You're right, there aren't enough of 'em posted here. :) (Not that I'm really complaining!) I love the last couple pages. Thanks for posting these!

not bad, superboy's right arm (our left) is a tad short though. an something is weird about him standing in relation to the ground perspective.. like the vanishing line is to high for his pose.. give it another look.

Backgrounds! You did more than what was required and very well rendered and varied. When your figure work is stylistically cartoony [trust me I can relate, so's mine] it's even more important to ground your figures in dense believable backgrounds. You nailed it!

I have a full time job and struggle to work on my artwork as much as I'd like, but you are absolutely right, even just a couple hours a night adds up. I'll keep pushing. :)

Great sequentials btw!
