Oh man, simply beautiful. I have to say I love the body language of Nightcrawler in Michael's piece but Jim's piece just has more appeal to me. The city scape, the Christmas Elf and Christmas Clown working together to deliver toys and the hat on Nightcrawler is awesome. Fantastic piece Jim, I think I like this one the most out of all your pieces done for the challenges.
Mike Turner's Nightcrawler is pretty impressive, but Jim's picture is, I think, better overall. The Christmas theme is great, and Harley's little Ha-Ha-Ho doll amuses me no end. And the background is just spectacular. A tough choice (even tougher than the battle with J. Scott Campbell), but my vote is for Jim.
jim's advantage is his familiarity with the 2 characters. i think mike's would have turned out just as great if he had a bit more time. however, my vote still goes to jim!
I also say though there needs to be a rematch and it should be Turners characters next time. This is basically having Turner draw Lee's characters, so make him draw Turners next time.
totally a clear victory for Mr. Lee... I think this piece is phenomenal. When I first heard this battle was comin' to the board, my jaw dropped -- 2 artist superpowers. But Jim has once again displayed his untouchable talent with a tight composition and a scene that truly tells a story. The city rocks, and the snow is a stroke of genius. Wow, Jim you continue to be a true inspiration. Thanks for the opportunity to witness this.
I gotta say although the Turner piece has some great dynamics and overall energy, jim's piece is just a little richer and more lush. Although it looks like he has tons of detail here it is the minimilist stroke herein that really captivate me. It is a great example of use of economic line and texturing. Absolutely splendid in my humble opinion.
Gorgeous piece... I don't think it's possible to beat Jim Lee in this type of event. No one draws that well that fast. The only other artist I've seen who can crank like that is Dave Finch-maybe you can have a battle with him next?
Aww, I was really pulling for Mike in this one, but I have to vote for Jim on this one. I go for gut feeling and don't care much if people do the theme or are anatomically correct. I just like this one better.
Amazed at the detail and finish quality with Lee's.
While I think a "finished" version of Turner's would win, they each only had an hour. Lee used his skill during that hour to produce a spectacular result.
I knew Jim would blow this away. But I wouldn't ever expect for him to this amazing. I can't wrap my head around the fact that this was done in one hour. Lee wins! Lee wins!
Well, both are awesome!, but had to go with Jim. The city in the background nailed it for me. Again well done both. I've watched both of you since the early image days and this was exciting to say the least!
Composition is better on Jim Lee's. Sense of action and Drama is better on the Turner piece but poorly executed. Turner's mind wasn't in this. I've seen better sketches from him but maybe this was just too short a time for him. Jim Lee's mind works much faster obviously. Much more information and level of finish. Mr. Turner needs to practice this way more. It is definitely a skill that can be improved with practice. I haven't seen anything new in Michael Turner art in years but I guess if it aint broke….well, you should still be trying to improve. Mr. Lee's finished work looks nearly the same after all these years also (and really good) but I love his quick pieces. I’d like to see him experiment more. No contest here. Jim Lee has kicked butt.

Maybe Jim knows the 2 characters better. My vote goes for him.
Jim wins hands down!
Holy crap, look how polished this piece looks. It's just phenomenal when you look at what he could do in one hour. Tremendous. My vote, all the way
I love the energy in Mike's, but Jim's cracks me up. My vote goes here. Thank you both!!! Well worth the wait.

This one brings the holiday spirit!!! HA Ha Ho (priceless)
Hard choice, though. For two points there must be a rematch in the future, please!
I love both pieces, but I gotta go with Jim's.
Just Beautiful!!!

Both are amazing, but my vote has to go to Jim Lee.
No freaking contest. Jim Lee wins, hands down.
Well since Jim knows how to DRAW, and did just that, and a mighty fine piece at that too I might add, Jim this ones for you.

My vote goes to Jim!

Clear victory. Jim brings it home for Wildstorm.

Yeah Missleman Summ'd it up pretty much, exactly what I am screeming inside my house right now....
My vote definitely goes to Jim. Man! I can't believe he did this in an hour . . .
My vote goes to Jim! Amazing pic!! :D

Clear winner, Jim Lee. Sorry Michael!
Wow! This only took an hour? Impressive! Lee took the best Marvel cover contest last month, and now takes the Iron Chef title.
Kudos.
I vote for Lee.

Great work by both Jim and Michael. I'm going to have to go with Master Lee on this one.
The winner and still champeen!! (How the heck his that spelled?)
JIM LEE!!
That is awesome!

Gotta go with Jimbo here...love the dynamics of Mike's piece, but Jim's has a more defined look to it.
Ryan
Hands down. Owned.
That's a sweet layout. Very festive.
Like a Brian Giles homerun in PETCO, Jim knocked it out of the park!
Me and a good buddy of mine that's over at my pad are both voting for Jim.
If that pic really only took him an hour to draw, he has a lot of explaining to do for all his late books during the Image years.
Just kidding ! (sort of)
For realz, that pic is sick.

Love Mike's piece, but Jim totally wins. It just looks so much cleaner, with more detail. Hard to beat the best, I guess.

Amazing.. my vote goes to Jim!
Bamf!
jim wins, on harley quinn alone i have to say
Aww, I was really pulling for Mike in this one, but I have to vote for Jim on this one. I go for gut feeling and don't care much if people do the theme or are anatomically correct. I just like this one better.
Harley's Joker doll rules!!
Gotta go with Jim on this one.
D
far and away jim's wins. it's ridiculous how finished a drawing he makes in just an hour, geez.
jim. the master.
mike. still a padwan.
on no planet or alternate universe does Mike's image outclass Jim's. well played, man.
Wow, Jim totally took this. Awesome stuff! :)
This one definitely goes to Lee, from composition to execution, the better piece belongs to him.
I vote for Jim Lee. Just love the Joker doll.
Jim Lee--I vote you!!!
This is a wonderfully composed and polished piece--stunning when you think about the time it took to make it. Jim Lee wins, hands down.
both so good, but I gotta give it to Jim.
sweet stuff
Lee > Turner
Michael Turner's is more dynamic but this is so nicely finished.
both are awesome but JIM wins with having a bg! hehe
oh my god that only took you an hour??
Awesome! Harley looks great!
Love the action of Turner's.
Amazed at the detail and finish quality with Lee's.

LEE gets my vote.

jim's piece is amazingly superior!
Jim rules! keep up the "Ghetto" style, my brother!
Excellent work Jim, I like the composition, and the real sence of action!
Cool picture!
Jim rule's!!!
You get my vote!
Bamf. Jim takes it.
Jim Lee all the way...
Excellent work. Hands down winner.
my vote go to jim...
Sure, no contest.
So when are you going to take on Travis
in a Wildcats-themed event?
Well, both are awesome!, but had to go with Jim. The city in the background nailed it for me. Again well done both. I've watched both of you since the early image days and this was exciting to say the least!
Both are great efforts, but I will have to vote Jim on this one.
