Gametap Interviews

[jimlee]

The crew here at WildStorm got to take its shot at reinterpreting Lara Croft and created a short Tomb Raider vignette which can be seen at Tomb Raider: GameTap Collection. I will have a more in-depth piece about the work the studio did but I wanted to throw a couple of video interviews that Gametap produced on one of their visits to the studio. We talked about Tomb Raider, Comics, the Studio, Batman and much more. I will put up a couple interviews now and the rest in about 9 days when I get back from Ireland.

I would really love to know how I could get a piece of your original art? I have checked a lot of the art sites that sell your work ,but as of yet Ihave not seen anything that I can afford! here is my dilema I dont have big cash! I make 23,000 a year.I am a want to be comic artist AKA Housing Authority Maintenance man in real life! I don't expect you to just say ok here is a piece of my art for nothing. But I have been wanting a piece of your original work for years! I am a comic artist as well but not nearly as wonderful as you are. Would you ever consider maybe an art swap? A piece of my inferior art plus some cash! for one of your amazing pieces! I really do love your work Jim and it would really mean a lot to me to have an original piece of your work! I am sure I wont get a response from this ,as I know your a busy man and you most likely get this stuff all the time! But it sure would be the best Christmas present I could ever get if I could get a piece of your work! Anyway I will leave you alone now my friend and I wish you all the best for the Holidays coming!

Hi Jim
Like Sedat I fell over when I saw you holding my digital-oil portrait of you which I sent you...lol. Thanks, nice one.

Do you know the English footballer- David Beckham? I met his old boss, Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and painted his portrait.

Check it out the video here:

My advice Jim? Get the denim jacket and put the canvas on the back :-)

Thanks for the tour of your office :-)

Best wishes
Neo

@Comixguy:) Jim really made a bad day become really good for me and theres absolutely no way I can pay that back to him. Its sooooo cool how respectful and friendly Jim is to his fans and I think along with his unbelieveable skills, thats what makes him the artist he is.
Dont worry about the Moonstone gig my own project will be just as interesting ;)

Just like Neo said I fell totally over:) great stuff Chris:)

Neo,
I don't know what I'm more jealous of: Jim showing a piece of your art,or you at Old Trafford painting Sir Alex. Both pieces look great. Well done.
