Hello everyone, here is yet another drawing of Voodoo. This time, I thought I would try something different and hook her up with an animated look. I think it's pretty cool and a lot of fun to do too.
First I did a little drawing on paper and then scanned it in to finish it in Photoshop. I knocked out all the line work to give it that animated feel and kept the colors flat and simple.
Since I've been back here at the studio, there are so many great artists who're always inspiring me to do something different. The artistic influence here makes it really easy to learn and grow. I love taking my work in new directions, so it's always interesting, and just being around all these talented folks makes it hard not to.
Anyhow, see you next time, Mike.

I fail to see a new direction. Just more of the same. Splayed legs, nipplege, ass shot... yawn. Would you do this seriously with a male character? Then why do it with a female one?
Lopez-I like the VOODOO piece. You really pulled off the animated style here. For the mostpart though, i dig your oldschool style. You are a talented Cat, andf can't wait to see more work from you- whether comics or commissions....
As for the other posters'comments-
I understand where she is coming from to a certain extent. But given that VOODOO was introduced a stripper in the first issue oif Wildcats back in the day, the fact that she was a stripper played an integrel role in the VOODOO mini series, and even in the latest incanation of the Cats by Grant morrison and Jim, she was buck naked getting her android love on. VOODOO has always be, um "contraversial" for a lack of a better term....
Oooooh... real nice, Mr. Lopez!
I hope you do this style more often 'cause it looks real good when you do.
Peace...
excellent.
It would be really nice to see the original pencils
hot mama...show me those superpowers
Who's a bad-ass mofo? Well, Michael Lopez, of course! Awesome as always, homey. Peace.
I've always admired your work and your artistic approach. This Voodoo is awesome. Loved how you decided to go with an animated style. Simplicity = Beauty!
So the question is when are you going have your own art gallery on the net?!
