Fairchild's Back!

[Lopez]

Howdy everyone, Whew! still recovering from comic-con! It was totally crazy, not at all what I had expected, incredibly big, crowded and busy!!

Anyhow, for me it was my first con where I actually had a table where I was sitting down signing and sketching, usually I am on the other side of the table, looking for work or buying something, whatever. This time, it was TOTALLY COOL!!

I got to meet so many new people and artists and to my surprise, a few fans too! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi or have something drawn or signed. It was a terrific experience and I am already looking forward to more conventions!

Here is one of the sketches I hooked up for Nate who had been a con sketch first-timer, so I tried to give him something that would keep him interested in the con sketches. I think they're a blast!

'Til next time. Mike

This is great! My name's John, and I'm from Manchester (England). I stumbled across this blog about a year ago, and I've kept my eye on it every since. I'm so impressed with all the work I've seen here.

Quick question, could you tell me the medium you've used here? It looks a bit like paint, a bit like chalks, a bit like pens... and I can't work it out!

Keep up the good work!

Sorry to post an unrelated reply here but I am just looking to contact someone from Gelatometti, I am wondering if any of the sketchbooks you guys offered at SDCC, particularly the Jim Lee book, are available for sale online? I am trying to avoid the unreasonable ebay prices. Any info would be great, please e-mail me. Thanks!
