Hello everyone, here is another one of my paintings titled "Post-Apocalyptic Limbo". I did this piece the day after September 11, 2001. Like everyone else I was scared to death, confused, and depressed. To help me cope I just started to paint.
This is probably my second favorite painting I've done and it was hard to let go at an art show I had back home in Austin a few years ago, almost like closure to a difficult period in the past. Looking at it on my wall everyday always reminded me of the panic of that moment.
I have a few more post 9/11 pieces that I'll post in the upcoming weeks.

Is there a reason you sold it? Was it necessary to get some closure on the past? Just curious. I tend to hold on to things forever and it's hard for me to "let go" of items that bring back strong memories.
I do hold onto certain things but it was time to let that piece along with some others go, just cause.
nice i like it
