entry ricH
Didn't get to make it out to NY unfortunately...but I've been working away on a bunch of different stuff the past couple months.
I had the privilege of working with Jim on a few pieces...A really nice Trinity triptych, and a great Wonder Woman cover (along with some Ex-Machina interior pages) and I've been doing a few pieces for a friend over some Leinil Yu stuff. A really nice Venom piece and then the Halo image that's attached.
so all in all...if you're going to be busy working...might as well be over these two guys.
I won't be going to Wondercon either....but hopefully next year I'll be able to hit both conventions.
:)
you can see larger scans of all of these pieces (and a step by step for the Halo piece...here:Blasterkid

Wow, Rich. You look REALLY good over Jim! Nice stuff!
Absolutely gorgeous stuff, Rich. Very inspiring.
This might be a stupid thing to take note of, but I really like the linework you used in the WW piece, above Diana's head. I don't think I've ever seen 'that' look on a hatched fade pattern and it's cool.
On the Leinel stuff, great proof that his work looks better inked as opposed to colored pencils.
Now that Batman Confidential is done, what's your next comic series?

Amazing stuff there Rich!!
How long did it take you to complete the Trinity cover after Mr Lee finished his part?
Look forward to seeing more of your work in '09.
