Hiring - Colorist!

The last time we posted an opening here, we were swamped with qualified applicants, so this time we're looking for a colorist! If you really want to get our attention, you can also color the picture above and post a link below. (Full-size scan also uploaded to deviantART.) It doesn't guarantee a position, but it'll be seen by all the right eyes.

Everyone interested can go to www.wbjobs.com or www.monster.com and do a search for DC Comics positions and it should come right up. All the information you need to apply will be there.

Job Description: DC Comics seeks a Colorist III for the WS Production department. Position will utilize computer programs (Adobe Photoshop) to color comic book pages daily. Lay flats when other work is not available or as instructed. Print color proofs as required. Attend colorist meetings as needed. Reference other color separation houses’ work and techniques to enhance skills. Perform other elated duties as assigned.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience. Minimum two years Computer Colorist experience required. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or other computer coloring programs required. Color guide interpretation skills and understanding of color theory required. Painting/airbrush skills required. Ability to perform figure drawing or anatomy required. Excellent organization skills and oral communication skills required. Reading documents, detailed work, confidentiality, deadline work, verbal and written communications, interaction with others, multiple concurrent tasks. Telephone, copier, personal computer.
