  6. Uggh... this one's yet another tough one 'cause they both have different strengths.

JJ's is clearly the most polished. Composition's fantastic. The varyin' and distinct line-widths are hella clean. That red spot color enhances the whole piece. Feelin' the dragon logo alot. This looks the best up close.

Michael's conveys the most energy given the simple yet dynamic pose. I lo'e how somethin' as simple as showin' the back leg could infuse so much into a shot. The angle and the movement are dope. The pencils give it a raw sense that I usually prefer often more than inks. Makes me feel and see part o' the process. His also shows the most depth w/ the integration o' the sword tips. This looks the best @ a distance.

Damn... so since I can't judge based on the different strengths, I guess I'm goin' for the base instinct and votin' for Michael Lopez's only 'cause his leaves more of a lasting after-thought for me.

But both are excellent. Congrats to both.

    Peace...

  7. This is my vote. Great, dynamic pose and nice rendering. I don't like the heavy outline as it overpowers the pencil rendering, but other than that, it is all good!

  8. It would be great if Lopez would draw a girl instead, but still gets my vote.

  11. I think for me it's not the art that won this vote, but the way the character was presented. In Kirby's drawing he comes off as being caught by surprise. That made the character a little week in my mind. I much prefer this representation.
