Grifter is dead. Long live Grifter!

[Eddy]

Yesterday, the cataclysmic Captain Atom: Armageddon #9 hit stores and it asked the question, "Is this really the end?" Well, yes and no.

The issue marked the end of one era of the Wildstorm Universe, but another is rushing into stores this fall with changes both big and small. The above Grifter piece is just a small teaser, as Jim returns to the team he helped launch in the first place. And now that you've seen the end, here's the beginning:

WILDCATS - Grant Morrison and Jim Lee
WETWORKS - Mike Carey and Whilce Portacio
STORMWATCH - Christos Gage and Doug Mahnke
MIDNIGHTER - Garth Ennis and Chris Sprouse
GEN 13 - Gail Simone and Talent Caldwell
DEATHBLOW - Brian Azzarello and Carlos D'Anda
THE AUTHORITY - Grant Morrison and Gene Ha

So which title are you most looking forward to?

  1. WILDCATS - Grant Morrison and Jim Lee

Im ashamed to say I don't buy Wildstorm comics. Just DC rite now. But surely this is perfect time to start enjoying them with the new start to the WS universe.
Also if it wasnt for a certain bidding web page comics wouldnt be that accessible to me, I think there should be more comic shops in england. All of the Gelatometti should open their own one in england lol.

  2. Wildcats it the one I look forward to the most. Then I would say its a tie between Deathblow and Authority. With 100 Bullets being one of my favorite books, its hard not to look forward to new stories by Azzarello.

  7. I'm actually looking forward to all of them, minus WETWORKS. I have no faith in Portacio. He's let the audience down too many times before.

  8. Anything written by Brian Azzarello would be of interest to me, but it's hard to ignore Jim "Gelatomettista" Lee and Grant Morrison working on Wildcats, which had some of the coolest characters created in the past 20 years. I guess it's a tie, but if I HAD to pick one....Wildcats.
