Mach GoGoGo!

[Eddy]

Thanks again to everyone who guessed the artists in the "Go, Speed Racer, Go!" post. There were some close guesses early on, but it looks like the Mach 5 was throwing most people off.

Jim also added Chim-Chim to the final jam piece above and I left the signatures back on to complete the picture.

Oh, and Carlos not only did the Mach 5, but he also did the flag too.

Tomorrow ey?!?

[Carlitos]

I was at Target this past Thursday, and noticed they already had the playable demo for "Arkham Asylum", the same one that was available at Comic-Con, THEN it dawned on me that the game will be released TOMORROW!!! The kid that was playing it seemed to be having a blast, and that's when it reeeeally dawned on me; "oh sh#t, this game looks AND plays friggin' amazing AND I got to work on it!!!'

...the only comparison I have with working on a project like this was when I had the HUUUGE honor of working with Richard Bennett on 'BRASS'... you send your pencils (in this case, designs), and what comes back is so much more than the sum of it's parts.  The creative team over at Rocksteady took the doodles I did and turned them into AMAZING 3D sculptures, and then you see these things moving and interacting inside these menacing, dark environments.... not much else to say except that I am a lucky bastard and am damn proud to have been a part of this project!

....I can't wait to get my hands on this here thang'!!! (^_^)

Wolvie and Kitty

[Kirbizzle]

I did this for a friend's sketchbook, so I wanted to do a playful piece on Wolvie and Kitty's dynamic. It's a love/hate thing.

PEACE.

GUNDAMMIT JEFF!

[Jeff]

Yo, What up people…Jeff here, fellow WildStorm studiomate & comrade in arms. Anywho, for ya’ll that don’t know me… I’m the front desk manager @ WildStorm Productions. I’m a practicing artist and I learn a lot from the other artists at the studio.

Soo, I recently had a trip to Japan and the main reason why I went was to see the GUNDAM. For those that don’t know, Gundam is an old school anime that dates back to 1979, so this year in celebration of it’s 30th Anniversary they built a lifesize 1/1 scale of the robot. I’ve always wanted to see a real lifesized one when I was a kid. So when I caught wind of the lifesized Gundam being built this year, I immediately booked a flight to Japan! Well what else can I say, the pictures speak for themselves…soo EPIC!

Also, I posted some art I’ve done recently…Enjoy everyone.

Word-up!

"Go, Speed Racer, Go!"

[Eddy]

One of the icons of manga and anime has always been Speed Racer. I had no idea it started off as a manga until recently, but I think everyone's familiar with the opening theme song and that iconic shot of Mifune Gō aka Speed Racer jumping out of his car.

As a parting gift for one big Speed Racer fan, some of the guys here drew this piece as a "thank you" for all their friendship and help throughout the years.

I took off all the signatures in this scan, so can anyone name which artist drew which part of the illustration? I'll send a small box of WildStorm comics to the first winner who guesses right and bonus points for correctly naming who did the checkered flag!

Illyana

[Oliver]

Hey ya'lls, how's it goin? Hope those of you who went to Comic-Con had a blast and thanks to all of you who stopped by Artist's Alley.

Anyhoo, I was up late last night reading my 'X-Infernus' hardcover and was inspired to do this piece before I went to bed. Illyana Rasputin is one of my fave X-chicks and she has so many cool looks to draw. Since it was late and I wanted to get the piece done I just went with a simple/classic/sexy pose and a suttle facial expression.

I used Prisma color cool grey tones to render her armor. Hope you like;)

Fairchild

[Nuñez]

Hello everyone, first of all, I want to say thanks to all the people that came to Artist's Alley to say "Hi." I admit, as much as the con can be a headache, I had a lot of fun meeting new people.

Here is a commission I did recently of Fairchild. I really haven't messed around with any of the Gen13 characters before and I have to say she was fun to do, but at the same time she was a little pain in my @$$ because of her build. I wanted to give her muscles, yet make her look sexy at the same time.

Hope ya'll digz.
