Although Jim's background is spectacular (how the hell did he do that in an hour?) The Harley and Nightcrawler look so awesome in Michael's that I have to give it to him.
Mr. Lee's looks pretty nice, included the season of christmas, backgrounds great, and I like the joker doll. I took me awhile to figure out that Nightcrawler's tail is wrapped around Harley, in Mr. Turner's drawing. He added the hammer, guys got jokes. ha ha ha... Mr. Turner gets my vote, his picture looks more dynamic.
I've always gone with the theme and not by rough or polished pieces and that is why I'm voting for MLT for this one. Gotta love that huge hammer/mallet
Both did fantastic work. Jim's is really amazing with all that detail but it looked more like a team-up theme rather than a versus one.
i love jim's detailed work, seasonal theme, and overall badass pic. but i can't believe i will not vote for him today. when this whole iron chef challenged started, i had envisioned a battle with likes of silvestri and turner. low and be hold, my dream came true. and mr turner, u did NOT disappoint! what an amazing piece. though u are famous for hot chicks, this nightcrawler is sweet! love the dynamic poses, theme, perspective, color, all in all a poster quality piece.
I think Turner's wins by a mile. Just look at the motion and energy it has. It has depth and looks like the characters are actually moving around and off of the page. The red is a nice touch. GREAT WORK MIKE!!! Nice try Jim.
my vote goes to you mr. turner...yours is just much more dynamic and action packed than jim's sketch...although jim's looks much more finished...oh but i can't imagine how turner's will look after steigerwald colors it...
The Turner piece is just more dynamic, not as finished but more interesting to look at. I definately thought I'd be posting for Lee but art is always a surprising field.
Jim's piece is just kind of dry... I know JL has the quickness when it comes to making finished art but his layout does nothing for me no matter how clean and finished it is.
Michael over here has a less cheesy image and it looks more exciting. Love the oversized hammer and dynamic posing. The red is what you guys call "cheap details" right? Works for me.
________
We have Jim Lee and Mike Turner here and you choose Nightcrawler and Harley Quinn? WTF?
Spectacular job on both pieces! Jim you added a nice touch with the X-mas theme and the background is amazing in such a short time. i voted for Mike's because his composition in my opinion is a little more dynamic and his "unfinished look" helps with the rawness of the piece and many touches he added will never be spotted. Plus he did all this with me and Frank basically commentating on his every move!
Turner all the way... Jim Lee and Michael Turner are the two top artists today in comics and this was awesome to have them go at it.. I wish it would have been Supergirl they were doing. but eh, what ya going to do!! But I got to say that Turner just always does it for me...he is one of those artists where you almost want to lick his toes he is so good.. but don't fret Jim, I would lick your toes as well...
While I usually adore Jim's work, I gotta go with Turner here. I think Crawler looks much more dynamic in this pic and I really enjoy Harley trying to clobber him with a massive mallet. Great pic!
Hi I feel like a traitor Jim :-( The energy in this piece is kick-ass to the max. I gotta vote for Michael. This is a really great piece of art. Thanks guys. Hope there was a quick time video made of this "battle royale" Still can't believe I'm not voting for Jim on his own website but hey you wanted the truth! Can you handle the truth.... imho Regards Neo
This is a VERSUS piece. Not some lame xmas piece. I love the charcoal and pencil mixed with the Red highlighted color. Very cool poses and composition.
It's like they're jumping right out of the page?! Hey what the..?! Definitely, Turner's my pick. Both are good, but Turner kept up with the theme, and the action that this piece flows with is insane. To think it was sketched out in one hour..wow.
Sidenote, I'm voting on what looks good, not what looks finished. :p
Jim's piece is more polished, and he clearly has a better advantage with the years of experience with drawing Harley and Nightcrawler; however, Mike's is better.
Mike was able to capture the feeling of the characters better and his depiction of Harley and Nightcrawler is more dynamic and engaging.
Ugh! Looks like Turner beats Lee at his own game. I'm a Lee junkie and all, but this entry just seems more dynamic - it has more movement and energy... Gotta vote Turner for this one.
I love this interpretation... There's a depth that Turner really pulls off i like its' sketchy appearance yet the vibrant color he's added. The comedic hammer is ace and i love how he's captured nightcrawlers agility.... wow

I have to say both pieces look great but this one is a no brainer for me. I live the way Turners looks, it feels much more alive.
winner is Mike!!
i agree with barak.. it has more energy to it.. MT all the way..
Amazing pieces but Turner's piece seems more vibrant. Love the coloring with the red. Turner's got my vote.

Truly a good match.
Sorry Jim, my vote goes to Michael this time. It's a close race as far as Im concerned.
WOW got my vote!!!
my pants are tight!

Way to go Jim and Mike.
WOW. MY TWO FAV ARTIST GOING MANO-A-MANO.

oh yeah, u got my vote!!!
this anatomy is so lost in space it will never be determined if it was human or not?????????????

Both are so good ... but Michael's closer-quarters perspective and crimson hint of Christmas color has won me over!
Gotta go Michael
I love you Jim... but Michael had some sweet poses and flow.
I thought yours was a little low on dynamic.
Cheers guys! I love these.
Michael all the way
I vote Turner.
vote turner for me

Definitely two great entries, but my vote goes with Turner this time. I thought the composition was much better in his.
Gotta go with Turner - sorry Jim!
Mike's version gets my vote. His version of Nightcrawler is awesome, can't wait to see his Marvel stuff next year.
awesome.
I thought JL was unbeatable. Until now!
I like this picture a great deal! Kurt looks great and Harley looks sensational~! My vote lies with Mikey. <3
I love you too, Jim!

Gotta go with Mike on this one.
Jim'pic far better for me !
Jim's one 's got my vote !
i have to go with mike on this one. but, it was a tough one!
Tough call, but I like Mike's just a little bit more.
Turner all the way... Jim Lee and Michael Turner are the two top artists today in comics and this was awesome to have them go at it.. Both are great pieces of art, but I'm going with Turner's because it showcases more of Harey's pesonality with the huge mallet.
Plus the red is pretty.
Both are nice, but this actually has a more distinctive look for Harley. me likey
Its close but i gotta go with turner, jim's is a bit static, and turners splash of red really makes it vibrant...
While I usually adore Jim's work, I gotta go with Turner here. I think Crawler looks much more dynamic in this pic and I really enjoy Harley trying to clobber him with a massive mallet. Great pic!
I have to vote for Turner. Sorry Jim.
I Vote for Michael, he is a incredible artist
Turner's is fantastic... I love the hammer and the red is a really nice touch.

For his first time ever drawing Nightcrawler, I think Mike did a great job. Here's my vote!!
I LOVE this one!
WAYYYYY BETTER!!!!
This is a VERSUS piece. Not some lame xmas piece. I love the charcoal and pencil mixed with the Red highlighted color. Very cool poses and composition.
WAYYYYYYYY BETTER!

Mike Turner, you are simply amazing. Your Nightcrawler has to be the best I've seen.
Turner kicks ass! 'Nuff said
I hope it is not too late to vote.
Jim's piece is more polished, and he clearly has a better advantage with the years of experience with drawing Harley and Nightcrawler; however, Mike's is better.
Mike was able to capture the feeling of the characters better and his depiction of Harley and Nightcrawler is more dynamic and engaging.

Lee's is cute, but this one is just kick ass. Go Turner!
I enjoy Lee's clean and neat work, however I'm impressed by Turner's foreshortening of Nightcrawler and action of Harley.
Cloe race but I have to go with Michael
Wow.
Ugh! Looks like Turner beats Lee at his own game. I'm a Lee junkie and all, but this entry just seems more dynamic - it has more movement and energy... Gotta vote Turner for this one.

voting turner. same reason as ohki.
Lee's piece is great, but I love the energy in Turner's piece.
hat a great pieces! Honestly I never saw something similar before, well except one time I visited Generic Viagra Museum.
Both pieces look great, I really like them, nonetheless as my professor at Generic Viagra Art Center said " never is enough to get a perfect design".
